What we collect when you contact us or send plans, and what we do with it.

What we collect
When you complete our contact form or the site's quote request, we collect the details you type: name, email address, phone number, project type, and anything you write about the project. If you call or email us, we keep that correspondence.
Our hosting platform records aggregate traffic data — pages viewed, referring sites, device type, and approximate region — so we can see what is working on the site. It is not used to identify you.

Plan documents you upload
Plans and drawings you upload are stored privately, not at a public link. Access is limited to the Armstrong Steel personnel who need them to prepare or build your project. We use them to take off steel quantities, prepare your quote, and coordinate with your engineer when you ask us to.

How we use it
To prepare your estimate and deliver the work; to answer your questions; to keep business, insurance, and job records; and to improve the site.

What we don't do
We do not sell or rent your information. This site runs no third-party advertising and no advertising cookies, and you do not need an account to use it.

Who we share it with
Service providers who help us operate — website hosting, email, accounting and job records, and IT support — and who are bound to protect it. Our professional advisers (attorney, accountant, insurer) where needed. And anyone we are legally required to notify. We share as little as the situation requires.

Phone calls and text messages
If you leave a phone number, we may call or text you about your project. We do not send marketing blasts. You can reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time, or simply tell us to stop calling.

How long we keep it
As long as we need it. If your enquiry does not become a project, we clear it out periodically. Project records, including approved plans and job documentation, are kept for as long as the work and our record-keeping obligations require.

Your choices
Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — by phone or email. We may need to keep records we are legally required to keep, and we will tell you if that applies.

Security
We rely on the platform's access controls, private file storage, and restricted accounts to protect what you send us. No method is perfect. If you would rather not send something through a form, call us instead.

Children
This site is meant for people planning construction work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Links to other sites
Where we link to manufacturers, industry bodies, or other resources, those sites have their own privacy policies. What you do there is between you and them.
